WHERE IT STARTED
ANIMA grew out of a desire to tell meaningful human stories and find creative ways of bringing them to audiences.
One of the projects that helped shape that journey was A Space in Time, a deeply personal feature documentary exploring one family's experience of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The film established many of the ideas that continue to define ANIMA today: intimate access, cinematic storytelling, collaboration, community and a belief that documentary can create conversations that continue long after the film itself has ended.
